JEWEL WITH LOVE SONG DESCRIPTIONS

Just a Closer Walk with Thee:	We’re asking Jesus to grant us the spiritual and physical strength to walk daily in a way that’s pleasing to Him.
Jamin’ With Jesus:	This song invites the audience to celebrate Jesus with clapping of hands,  Stomping of feet, and come alive out of their seats.
Jesus Is the Best Thing (That Ever Happened to Me):	Out of all the things that I have experienced in      Life, my personal experience with Jesus has been greater than them all.
John 14:	Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting in God, Jesus said, “Now trust in Me.”   (These words are scripture John 14: 1-3 verses.)
Jesus Sweet Jesus (I Love Calling Your Name):	The compassion of Jesus is so sweet, the power in  His name is so mighty, I love calling Him to my rescue.
Jesus Is Everything To Me:	We live, move and have our being in Him.  He’s the root and source of our lives.
Shout, Sing Joyful Praises:	This is a West Indian style song with joyful praises of singing and shouting with a Calypso beat.
He’s Sure Been Good:	No matter what I’ve gone through in life, He (God) has kept me through it all.
Shame:	This song simply means God loved us so much he gave His only Son.  The shame is we fail to give and show the love to God through our disobedience.
Wind Beneath My Wings:	Just as an Eagle with great strength carries her young on her wings, so will Jesus carries us.
I’m Standing:	.  With trials and tribulations, by faith I will still stand on God’s promises, His Word
Praise Medley:	This is the medley of five jubilant songs to tell the story of God’s grace that gives us saints victory to go marching in to the Kingdom.
When God Comes:	When Christ Jesus comes as King, He will be the judge of everyone.  (2nd. Timothy 4:1)

              THE JEWEL WITH LOVE STORY

 

                Jewel with Love is an extraordinary group of singers inspired by the Holy Spirit who reveals God’s love for mankind while filling their hearts with this love.  Their music reaches out touching lives with the love of God.  For what come from the heart goes to the heart.  They combine traditional gospel with a touch of contemporary gospel, jazz, R&B and ballads all in one sound, which makes the uniqueness of Jewel with Love.  Robert Doqui, actor (Robocop, Coffy, Nashville) says “Your spirit will soar like an eagle when you hear the voices of Jewel with Love.”

 

                The late Jewel Rowe in Los Angeles, California founded the group on February 17, 1994.  Most group members currently reside in the Los Angeles Area, but their music ministry has propelled them from local venues to venues overseas.

 

                Their latest CD entitled “Jesus is Everything to Me” is a collection of traditional and contemporary gospel, praise and worship, calypso and rap.  Songs from this inspirational and spirit felt CD have received high ratings from the Online Edition of First Illustrated Gospel Charts.  Songs like “Sure Been Good” and “Shame” are favorites with the more seasoned population while “Jamming with Jesus” is popular with the young people.

 

                The group consists of the following members:  Dr. Naddie Conedy (manager, lead vocalist, 1^st and 2^nd alto background); Cathy Davis (lead vocalist, 1^st and 2^nd soprano background); Betty Phillips (lead vocalist, 1^st and 2^nd soprano background); Kenneth Williams (lead and background vocalist, Music Director, Writer, Keyboard); Sam Fisher (lead and tenor background).  The awesome JWL Band accompanies the group.

 

                Jewel with Love is on the Parliament Records Recording label, which is based   in California.  Collectively, they have shared stages with many artists as well as other celebrities. They have enjoyed some touring here in the United States, and spent 2 ½ months in Europe singing the gospel. Mentioning some of the group’s credits:
